Washington & Jefferson College has been classed as having one of the best Greek-life cultures you can get, and they have been praised for raising money for great social causes. The college was founded in 1781 with the namesake of two presidents, so it has high expectations of its students. Many believe that the college lives up to these expectations offering over ten greek organizations that serve over 1500 students. Massachusetts Institute of Technology
While the Massachusetts Institute of Technology is renown for its excellent education system, there is also another side to the establishment you never knew existed. MIT is prolific for providing some great Greek culture with an abundance of groups you can join. They have 25 fraternities and six sororities, while it may seem to work in the boys’ favor, six sororities are plenty to choose from, and if you’re feeling a strong entrepreneurial spirit, you can always try and establish your own! MIT take their Greek life very seriously, and it’s not just about partying, it’s about achieving, leading, and working hard. You’ve got to be serious about this one, and it’s not going to be a walk in the park.
Baker University
As the very first university established in Kansas, these guys take their traditions very seriously. Just under half of the entire student population are members of one of the ten different sororities and fraternities. It has one of the highest positive ratings for Greek life on campus and has made an impact on everyone who goes there. These guys foster a safe and fun environment for all their students and have even been said to be one of the safest colleges you can go to. So, if you like the look of Baker University, then you can rest assured that you will also have the option to experience a fantastic Greek life as well.
Washington and Lee University
This college has been ranked as number one overall by several sources for Greek Life. They have had a long time to set their traditions, having been established in 1749 and being the ninth oldest in the country. Around three-quarters of the student populace belong to either a sorority or a fraternity. There is a much better balance, with 13 fraternities and 8 sororities. The Greek life has been described as vibrant and incredibly safe, so if Greek life is a number one priority, then this is the college for you.
